Cara Quinn

Artist biography

Cara Quinn is a 21-year-old singer-songwriter from County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. She describes her love of music and singing as having developed through her childhood, and she began writing her own music at age 16.

Cara takes pride in her sense of musical individuality, working hard to create her own distinct musical style. She cites a great admiration for the poetic lyricism of artists such as Dermot Kennedy and Bon Iver.

The 21-year-old's talent is appreciated regionally in her university town of Derry/Londonderry, where she hosts open mic nights, supports other local bands at their EP releases, and even made it to the final of the Battle of the Bands competition. Cara describes her pride in herself for gaining the confidence and ability to perform her own music in a live setting.

Cara is a recent BMus graduate of Ulster University, and intends to complete a Master’s degree in Music. Her goal is to continue writing, performing, improving and releasing her own music, and hopes to find opportunities to perform with other artists.
