About the session
Well what a triumph that was! The QOW Trio, Eddie Myer bass, Spike Wells drums and firebrand sax player, Riley Stone-Lonergan. Spike Wells was so in control of setting the tone for each piece, high intensity – low volume, experienced maturity that never dominated but freed up the other musicians, locking in with bassist Eddie Myer which allowed Stone-Lonergan to unleash his captivating authority on the original music they have crafted.
It was so engaging, with hot and cold, fire and passion, but space and mutual respect, central to the delivery of the whole performance. Three generations of musicians bringing their individual interpretations to the music in the way they played, but egalitarian in their unified approach. Please come back…
